Blooms on Boswell, Custom Florals

Website Redesign

We were asked to do a website redesign for a flower and gift shop with a long history of serving the Topeka area. They offer a lovely selection of bouquets and have a unique walk-in store front full of delightful gifts.

THE CHALLENGE

Lori, the shop owner, wanted the personality and style of the flower shop to shine through on the website. It was currently a blah-looking cookie cutter template. Additionally, the shop was offering workshops and wanted to be able to accept payment and RSVPs for the events being held at the shop. Future plans to move all shop items to the site is in progress.

THE SOLUTION

I chose a very neutral color scheme for this site, so the product would be the feature and what caught the eye. I positioned the phone number in multiple easy to access locations and added a section for the new workshops. We ended up wrapping the whole site around the existing shopping cart so we wouldn’t have to “recreate the wheel” at this point. The overall look is light and clean. And regardless of the season and the changes in images we make, the layout and base colors work. I continue to maintain the Blooms on Boswell website.

Cottonwood Whispers Design combines the feeling of being a member of their family and the professionalism of hiring a corporate company when creating, designing, and publishing your website. I felt so confident and comfortable working with them and not feeling like I was being taken advantage of — which, if you’ve gotten bids for a website before, is very likely. Working with Cottonwood Whispers in 2017 made me more motivated to work with them again in 2019 when I helped a surgeon start his own company.

Rest assured, the work CWD provides is never one and done. They are the first to tell me if there’s a website issue, and in the rare chance I catch something first, they will drop anything and everything to resolve the issue.

If you’re debating on whether or not to update a website or start a new site, stop your search. This company will not disappoint.
